Framed photographic print of a house, #34 Chestnut Street, Salem, Massachusetts. In front of the house is a large tree, and beside the house, on each side, is another house. There is a wood fence to the left and metal fence in front. The picture is taken from across the street.

#34 Chestnut St. Salem. Taken between 1898 when Mrs. Wheatland's house was built and 1912 when we altered the front-taking off the porch which Mrs. Webb had built. This shows the house as it appeared in the 90's when Mrs. Webb lived here. This photograph given me by Alfred. P. Putnam Dec. 25, 1941. SW Phillps (Handwritten note)
