Nathan Appleton House, 39 Beacon St., Boston, Mass., Fireplace

PC002.USMA.Boston.027.15 (RS15600)

Description

Photograph of a fireplace and mantel in the Nathan Appleton House, 39 Beacon St., Boston, Mass. A note on the back indicates that this mantle was located in the first floor front west study. Other Cousins photographs of the house were taken after Arthur Lyman purchased the house in 1886, so it is likely that this photograph was also taken during the Lyman occupancy.
