Hello I came across the picture of this trunk and I have a question you could possibly help me out with. Does this trunk have a key? I ask this because I recently acquired a trunk with the same lock mechanism and cannot locate images of the key. If this trunk has a key could you send me some detailed photos of the key? This would help me tremendously in my search of you could! Thank you! -Trenton

Thank you for your inquiry, Mr. Solmen.
Unfortunately, this trunk came to us without its key. I'm afraid small keys, such as the one to this lock, are often lost.
As for your key, you might consider contacting the New Britain Industrial Museum in Connecticut. As the lock was manufactured in New Britain, they may have some ideas for your research.
I wish you the best of luck with your search.
Sincerely,
Nicole Chalfant
