Navy blue wool broadcloth; heavy weight; Jacket .1A - turned, notched collar, single breasted; fitted through waist and hips with flared skirt with vent at back; long fitted sleeves - left arm black mourning band; lined with black sateen, sleeves lined with pale yellow silk with red and white stripes; padded chest. Skirt (.1B) - full skirt; shaped at right side to fit over crossed leg and saddle; there is a silk cord loop near shaped form (to grab/lift skirt?); reinforced with glazed cotton; 2 elastic loops on inside; button and hook and eye closure on left side, with ties at waist; pocket on left side; waist lined with cream striped wool. Cravat/tie (.2) - white, ribbed cotton; squared ends; loop at neck for drawing one end through; one button hole at middle of neck. Paper bag (.3) - brown; rectangular; "C.F. Hovey Co./Boston" printed. Hair pins (.4A-F).
