Description

Green and gold plaid and chine' silk taffeta; Bodice (A) - high neckline; self-piping at neck and armscye; bell shaped sleeves trimmed with 3 rows of green, black and white silk fringed passementerie; peplum trimmed with same; pointed front and back; boned and lined with brown cambric; 12 green silk covered buttons; coin pocket on left; Bodice (B) - high neckline; self-piping at neckline and armscye; bell shaped sleeves trimmed with 2 self-fabric ruffles with scalloped and pinked edge; 2 of same ruffles extend from shoulders to front and back waist, forming V-shaped back; full, round peplum with 2 self-ruffles; 14 green and white silk covered buttons; boned; lined with brown cambric; small coin pocket at left front. Bodice (C) - broad neckline trimmed with lace with black velvet ribbon tie; elastic (replacing usual drawstring); V-shaped pointed front and back; yoke trimmed with green, black and cream silk fringe; lattice panel on front of green, black and white silk ribbon; short sleeves with inner sleeve with scalloped embroidered cuff; 2 large bows at center back (of green with black & white pinstripe); laced closure at back with original green silk cord; boned; lined with cambric; padding removed; Skirt (D) - matching fabric - disassembled into seven pieces.
