Description

Blue and white plaid silk with black outline; high neckline; self piping at neck and armscye; yoke of blue and white taffeta ruching with scalloped and pinked edge (around front and back) with black velvet ribbon; sharply pointed front and back with blue and white taffeta piping; long sleeves trimmed with blue and white taffeta and black velvet ribbon (same as yoke); bodice is boned; lined with white cambric; sleeves lined with white silk with pleated band at cuffs; 11 blue silk covered buttons; bodice is attached (stitched) to skirt at sides; skirt is pleated all around with large box pleats at back; overlapping hook and eye closure at front; pocket on right side; hem trimmed with 2 rows of blue and white taffeta bands with scalloped edge and black velvet ribbon; one of rows is arranged in scalloped pattern; skirt fully lined with buckram; hem bound with blue wool tape.
