A=Bodice; B=Skirt. A=Bodice - Burgundy satin woven in checkerboard pattern of ribbed & satin squares; band collar & lapels of burgundy velvet; velvet bow at throat. Appliqued beadwork around lapels; hook & eye closure at center front; long sleeves trimmed w/ bands of velvet; velvet cuffs. Hook & eye at wrist; lined w/ taffeta; boned darts & seams; white grosgrain inner waistband. Slightly pointed front edged w/ velvet; small bow above point; small fishtail peplum. B=Skirt - overskirt of burgundy checkerboard satin; velvet underskirt revealing satin panel w/ appliqued beadwork; hook & eye closure center back above pleats; train. Lined w/ taffeta; 2 sets of ties to gather fullness in back; 2nd lining of coarse black gauze attached at knee w/ attached ruffle of stiff white cotton embroidered in red.
