Description

Printed windowpane gauze. Cream ground printed w/ multicolored floral bunches. Bodice (1915.36) w/ high piped neck. Square yoke of green & red plaid printed ruching (same windowpane fabric). Long bell-shaped sleeves trimmed w/ same plaid rutching. Bodice is fitted through waist and has peplum w/ point at back and curved front. Trimmed w/ same plaid ruching. Boned darts and princess seams. Lined w/ white cotton twill; 8 covered buttons at center front. Skirt matches bodice; box pleats at front; cartridge pleats at back stiffened w/ light blue canvas. One plaid band midway. Hem has printed plaid border w/ larger floral bunches. Bound w/ green wool tape. Waist lined w/ cotton; hook & eye at left side.
