Description

Rectangular pine box covered with mahogany veneer. Front center has a keyhole opening. Center of the lid top has an inlaid rectangle of veneer (grain is a shade lighter the the remainder of the box). Lid opens via two metal hinges. Brass escutcheon on the inside of the front. Underside of the lid has the same inlaid rectangle of mahogany veneer, while the remainder of the inside is unstained, pine. Underside of the lid edges and box sides are stained to match the veneer.
