2-Piece Dress

Description

Bodice of silver gray satin; low square neckline edges with white cotton lace ruffle; center panel of ivory satin with 2 rows of covered buttons down center (buttons at left have corresponding holes; metal sequins scattered over panel body edged all around with lace of silver metallic thread; waist pointed center front; fish tail pilum (?) center back; long, very full ivory satin sleeves, elasticized at elbow and wrist, lace ruffle at cuff sequins scattered all over; body lined with white cotton and twill sleeves with glazed linen; boned front and side seams; holes for skirt; skirt has center panel of rucked ivory satin with band of metallic lace at hem and large sequins scattered all over; silver gray satin overshirt has pleated ruffle attached around edges echoed by three bands of metallic lace sewn with sequins; waistband of satin over twill; hook and eye closure and cartridge pleating center back; hem trimmed with ruffle of pleated crinoline; lining of crinoline of glazed linen; ties for bustle; slight train. Bustle-- brown twill front panel with tape lacing; brown twill panels with drawstrings top and bottom concealing bustle of tape-- covered metals bands with brown and white tape bands.
