Young Friends and Boston Preservation Alliance connect at Lyman Estate

July 11, 2012

Young Friends at the Lyman EstateThe Young Friends of Historic New England partnered with the Young Professionals of Boston Preservation Alliance  to host a summer gathering at the recently re-opened Lyman Estate in Waltham, Massachusetts. The evening included a lecture on the history of the estate and tours by Historic New England Manager of Historic Preservation Services Sally Zimmerman. Colleen Chapin, preservation manager at Historic New England, presented the group with an inside look at the recent weatherization and energy efficiency project. Guests enjoyed cocktails provided by Gordon’s Fine Wines and Liquors and beer from Watch City Brewery, both located in Waltham.

Members of the Young Friends of Historic New England enjoy invitations to special tours, receptions, and other events like this throughout the year. Connect with fellow young professionals interested in preserving the region’s rich cultural heritage. Learn more about the Young Friends and view the photo gallery.
