May 24, 2010

Beauport windows
One hundred sixty-nine sash windows have been restored at Beauport.  This project, which began in December 2008, was funded by the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund and a Save America's Treasures Grant. The scope of the work included window sash preservation and extensive sill repair.  Preservation Project Manager Jodi Black will discuss the window project and upcoming roof and chimney work at the Preserving Gloucester program, hosted by the Cape Ann Museum, on May 27. Visitors can see the work in person at Beauport beginning Tuesday, June 1, 2010 - opening day!
