Roof project secures funding
![]()
Historic New England has secured a $38,000 grant from the Massachusetts Historical Commission's Round 17 Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund (MPFF) for repairs to the Browne House roof. This grant, which covers about half of the construction costs, supports re-pointing and repairs to the chimneys, flashing, the replacement of the wood shingle roof using in kind materials, and repairs to the gutter system.
Please support our preservation efforts by donating to the Preservation Maintenance Fund. We must raise $1.2 million by the end of 2011 in order to secure a matching grant from an anonymous foundation.
