Protect your collections from insects
January 20, 2013
Historic New England is the only museum in the region that offers a service to protect museum and private collections from pest infestations.
During the treatment, carbon dioxide gas displaces oxygen to eliminate all stages of the insect life cycle: adults, larvae, pupae, and eggs. Historic New England has been safely using this treatment since 1992, and recently installed a new system that uses less energy and reduces treatment time.
Collectors, including both organizations and individuals, can take advantage of this service for a fee. Learn more about cost, treatment time, delivery, and pick up.
