Portsmouth non-profits team up for holiday cheer

Historic New England is teaming up with the Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation and the Portsmouth Black Heritage Trail to host a Holiday Sale and Open House at the Governor John Langdon House on Sunday, December 4 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. and on Thursday, December 8 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Visitors can shop for distinctive gifts, take a self-guided tour of the first floor of the museum, and learn about these three organizations while enjoying seasonal refreshments.

Specialty gift offerings include glassware, jewelry, home décor, books on local and regional history, discounts on gift memberships, and more from Historic New England. Blue Ocean Society will offer Adopt-a-Marine Creature packages, memberships, stocking stuffers, personalized ornaments, whale stuffed animals, warm fleece apparel, and more. There will also be free gift wrapping, even for items purchased elsewhere.
