Salem community supports Phillips House Car Meet

Car Meet

On a beautiful August Sunday, the Thirteenth Annual Car Meet at Historic New England’s Phillips House in Salem, Massachusetts, welcomed hundreds of visitors, sixty-five cars, and even some re-purposed 1940s bicycles. It was a delightful summer day to enjoy with the members of the North Shore Old Car Club.

Support from the local business community is essential to making the Car Meet a success each year. Refreshments and entertainment by the Trent Austin Duo were provided thanks to the support of a great slate of local sponsors including Essex Street Dental Medicine, Auto Body Restorations of Salem, Bouchard and Sons, the House of the Seven Gables, Naumkeag Used Auto Parts, Next Step Living, the Salem Cultural Council, the Salem Witch Museum, and Spinale Automotive. RFT Insurance of Lynnfield added to the festivities by sponsoring a People’s Choice and Sponsor’s Choice award ceremony.

If you missed out on the show, Phillips House is open for tours Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Next year's Car Meet is scheduled for Sunday, August 9, 2015. To see a gallery of photos from the event, please visit Creative Salem.
