Painting begins at Cogswell's Grant
The front and side elevations at Cogswell's Grant are receiving a well-deserved paint job. Paint plays a very important role in the preservation of buildings by providing a layer of protection from moisture. At Cogswell's Grant the paint layer required renewal before water penetration became too severe, and the distinctive orange color had faded significantly due to sun exposure.
Please consider supporting our efforts to preserve Cogswell's Grant and our thirty-five other historic properties by donating to the Preservation Maintenance Fund. We must raise $1.2 million by the end of 2011 in order to secure matching funds from an anonymous foundation.
