Meet our new site manager for southern Rhode Island

July 25, 2016

Jane Hennedy at Casey

Historic New England recently appointed a new site manager for southern Rhode Island. Jane M. Hennedy now oversees operations at Casey Farm in Saunderstown and Watson Farm in Jamestown.

“I am just delighted by the beautiful vistas and historic buildings, the sound of lots of children enjoying the farms, and by the kindness of my hard-working colleagues," Jane says. "I look forward to getting to know many more things about these remarkable sites and all the people who share my enthusiasm for them. Stop by and say hello the next time you are in my neighborhood.”

Jane holds a B.A. in humanities from Providence College and an M.A. in American studies/historic preservation from Boston University. She has a wealth of experience working at history museums, and was most recently the executive director at the Natick Historical Society. Before that she worked as the director of Old Colony Historical Society and as a site manager at the John Nicholas Brown Center at Brown University.
