Casey Farm hosts plant sale, Coastal Growers' Market
More than 1,650 people attended the annual plant sale at Casey Farm in Saunderstown, R.I., purchasing a variety of certified organic vegetable, flower, and herb seedlings grown in the greenhouses as well as perennial plants and flowers for the home gardener. Visitors took guided tours, participated in children's activities, and purchased flower bouquets, maple syrup, fresh coffee, and locally baked goods. Twenty-five new members joined Historic New England at the event.
Potted plants and specialty
products such as organic produce, pasture-fed meats, locally raised
shellfish, baked goods, sweeteners, and flowers, are available at the Coastal Growers' Market hosted at Casey Farm every Saturday from May 14 through October.
