Troop 71679
Members of Girl Scout Troop 71679 at Lyman Estate

We love it when we can share our historic properties with young audiences, and we recently had a chance to do that at Historic New England's Lyman Estate in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Members of Girl Scout Troop 71679 from Lexington spent a morning working side by side with staff to remove invasive species that are crowding out native plants in the garden and landscape. According to landscaper Ellen Mackey, "The troop was great and very interested in the flowers and herbs on the property." Their work helps us preserve the historic character of the grounds and supports our ongoing landscape restoration work.
