Hamilton House birdwatching

Hamilton House in South Berwick, Maine, isn't only known for its history; the property's landscape is also a wonderful place to observe the natural world. On June 18, visitors and staff enjoyed a bird walk lead by Scott Richardson of the York County Audubon Society. The group spent a beautiful morning sighting some twenty-five different birds in the fields, woods, and riverfront including an indigo bunting, a green heron, a pileated woodpecker, bluebirds, and a juvenile bobolink. Keep your eyes peeled for future bird walks or come and enjoy birding on your own.
