Bill Blanchfield, former coordinator of operations for the Boston Red Sox, is switching teams. He joins the staff at Historic New England as the new functions manager.

Blanchfield handles the management and marketing of the functions rental business for Historic New England and actively promotes and sells the locations for private events. “It is a pleasure to join the team at Historic New England," he says. "I look forward to talking with clients about beautiful properties like the Lyman Estate in Waltham and the Codman Estate in Lincoln. The rich history of these sites along with the spectacular care given to the grounds and the buildings are an exciting and inviting combination.” He is based at Historic New England’s Lyman Estate in Waltham, Massachusetts, at 185 Lyman Street.
