Historic New England secured an $8,500 grant from the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities to fund the Colonial Times education program at Arnold House (1693) in Lincoln.

Colonial Times immerses students in early local history in an authentic seventeenth-century setting. The program combines classroom activities with a field trip. It lets students explore history through hands-on experiences including candle-making, writing, spinning and weaving, food preservation, and bartering.
