Fifth anniversary for MSPCA animals
Five years ago today, a Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) truck rolled up Little's Lane to deliver the first animals to be part of the MSPCA Foster Farm program at Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm. They were two young goats, brothers named Sun and Shine, and they have formed the core of the happy pasture ever since. Today another goat arrived, an elderly lady named Luna, with a crippled leg and a sweet smile. Staff from the MSPCA and Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm took a few moments to recognize the amazing five years we have spent together as Sun and Shine, the first two arrivals, greeted Luna.
Other MSPCA foster animals at the farm include a horse, chickens, turkey, sheep, and rabbit.
