Historic New England presents a Fine Arts and Crafts Festival
LINCOLN, MASS. - Historic New England presents its thirty-first Fine Arts and Crafts Festival at the Codman Estate, on Saturday, September 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The arts and crafts festival is a juried show featuring the fine work of more than one hundred New England artisans. Items for sale include jewelry, pottery, furniture, toys, glass, photography, knitted sweaters and throws, metal ware, folk carvings, and more. There is also live entertainment, house tours, and food concessions.
The day includes first floor tours of the c. 1740 Codman home, a country estate and home to five generations of the family. The grounds feature a hidden turn-of-the-century Italian garden with perennial beds, statuary, and a reflecting pool filled with water lilies.
Admission is $5. Admission is free to Historic New England members and children under 12. For information, call 617-227-3956. To reach the Codman Estate, take Route 2 to Route 126 South. Pass Walden Pond, and turn left onto Codman Road or take the MBTA commuter rail Fitchburg line from North Station.
