Historic New England seeks a full-time Membership Coordinator to provide administrative support for the membership team, helping to build and grow Historic New England’s membership program. Responsive and member experience-focused, the Membership Coordinator ensures timely and accurate entry of all membership data while providing exceptional customer service through daily member and constituent communications.
Classification: Full time; Non-exempt
Location: Historic New England Center for Preservation and Collections, Haverhill, MA
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for timely and accurate entry of all memberships into the Tessitura database, including web, mail, phone, event, and site sale transactions, and prepares checks for deposit.
- Maintains data accuracy within Tessitura, including updating constituent personal information, duplicate record merges, contribution source and membership trend entry, NCOA mailing address updates, new subscriber entry, and related data needs.
- Executes administrative aspects of membership program, including but not limited to, providing excellent customer service to members and constituents contacting Historic New England with general and membership inquiries through the membership email and phone, and the organization’s main phone line, and coordinates fulfillment of new and renewed membership cards and materials.
- Provides excellent front-line membership sales support at select public events throughout the year.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associates degree and/or equivalent combination of skilled credentials.
- Must be detail oriented, well organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining precise attention to standards, processes, and quality of data.
- Fully competent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Tessitura CRM system is strongly preferred. Experience working with another relationship database such as Raiser’s Edge, Donor Perfect, or others may be substituted. Ability and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality of information.
- New England residency required.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to Historic New England sites as needed.
- Verification of full COVID-19 vaccination status or exemption approved by Historic New England prior to the start date of employment.
