Community Focus

100 Years, 100 Communities

Historic New England launched the 100 Years, 100 Communities initiative to protect and share twentieth-century history. Historic New England partners with communities throughout the region on projects that capture their unique stories before they are lost.

Line at Berlin premiere

The line stretches down the block at the premiere of At the River's Edge in Berlin, New Hampshire. The award-winning documentary features a moving oral history of Berlin, best known for its paper mills.

Outside Harvard-Kent

Boston Public Schools students documented their daily lives in a photo documentary project. Students and a teacher from Harvard-Kent Elementary School are shown here.

Farmer's Cow

Historic New England partnered with The Farmer's Cow, a dairy cooperative, to tell the story of modern dairy farming in Connecticut.

History Project 1

Members of the History Project, a group that preserves Boston's LGBT history, enjoyed a special tour of Beauport, Sleeper-McCann House.
