The Program in New England Studies
June 16-21, 2008

Now in its sixth year, the Program in New England Studies offers an intensive learning experience, with lectures by specialists in architecture, history, preservation, and the decorative arts; workshops; and specialized tours of Historic New England properties, other museums, and private houses.

The program teaches the history of New England culture through artifacts and architecture in a way that no other museum in the Northeast can match. Through in-depth presentations and tours, we will examine architecture, building design, and material culture of the region. You will meet people from all over the country who want to learn more about New England history and material culture from the seventeenth century through the early twentieth century. The program is designed for museum professionals, graduate students, owners of historic houses, private collectors, and others interested in New England history.
